UV glass, acid free mats and archival surfaces will protect and prolong an items life. But often before the personal value of an image is realized damage has occurred. Like memories images fade. They can become wrinkled, tattered and torn. With modern technology and traditional methods all but a very few heirlooms can be restored to there original state.
